DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!
On arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be met and welcomed by the tour guide and driver. Getting transferred to the downtown for hotel check-in.
You are free to do your own things or just relax to recover from the jetlag for the remainder of the first day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY & CU CHI TUNNELS
After your breakfast in the hotel, start your day by visiting War Remnants Museum and the former Presidential Palace. From there, stroll to two more major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office.
After lunch, the car will take you out of the bustling city for Cu Chi District, locates approximately 70 km northwest of Saigon. This is a beautiful green land with fruit gardens, rice paddies and plantations. Cu Chi Tunnels are like a spider web in the soil of Cu Chi District. It consists of more than 200km of narrow underground tunnels that connecting half or total covered hideouts, shelters, fighting bunkers, hospital, school, living rooms and so on… All was built and used by Viet Cong for resistance against their enemy during the French and American war.
You will return to the city after the tunnels. The evening is yours. Overnight in HCMC

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY > MEKONG DELTA (BEN TRE & CAN THO)
At 8.00 AM, pick-up from your hotel and depart for Ben Tre, a nice province of Mekong Delta. Arrive at the Phong Nam, get on a motorized boat and you will cruise along the Chet Say River (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including coconut activated charcoal factory where coconut shell is put into high heat kiln to produce coconut charcoal; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products.
Then the boat will cruise through the small canal, discover the local life. You will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life.
Pay a visit to a mat weaving house and learn how straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself. After that, you will board your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) into another village where you can see farms, rice fields and vegetable gardens.
A delicious and filling lunch will be served at a family-run restaurant, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish, river shrimp and washed down with some cold drinks or beers.
In the afternoon, you will board a sampan for a relaxing ride along narrow canals, then take your motorized boat back to the pier. Continue on your day to Can Tho City on your private vehicle. Arrive in Can Tho, check into the hotel and relax for the night. Overnight in Can Tho

DAY 4: MEKONG DELTA > HANOI
The watery world of the Mekong Delta is home to many bustling floating markets. This day, you take a boat trip and exploring the vibrant floating market of Cai Rang. Visiting the market, you will be impressed by the trading way as it is unique: each boat usually sells one particular item, whether it be pumpkins, pineapples, sugar canes…
After an impressive boat trip, disembark at Ninh Kieu quay then visit an ancient house in Binh Thuy 10 km from Can Tho city. Lunch at local restaurant on the way back to HCMC.
In the afternoon, transfer to Can Tho airport and take a flight to Hanoi capital in the North of Vietnam. Get picked up and hotel check-in after arrival. The rest of the day is yours. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI > NINH BINH
Depart from your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning, the drive to Ninh Binh province takes you about 2,5 hours through the fertile land of the Red River Delta. Upon arrival, you will take 2-hour sampan boat trip at Tam Coc (Three Caves).
This area is considered as “Inland Halong Bay” featured with karst formations. It is very beautiful scenery along the row with vertical sides of Limestone Mountains and rice paddy-fields. The local rowers will take you gently through three beautiful limestone caves with hundreds of stalactites above your heads. Back to the dock and transfer to a local restaurant for a Vietnamese lunch.
In the afternoon, you will jump on a bike for a stunning ride along the back roads through the beautiful scenery of sheering karsts on the ground of ponds, rice paddies and rural villages in the area. On the bike, you will have as many stops as you want to take photographs. One of the stop is Bich Dong Pagoda. Bich Dong pagoda is an important religious place for the locals in the region. It comprises three structures: Ha (Low), Trung (Middle), and Thuong (Upper) pagodas in ascending order at the side of a rocky mountain. We will take a slow hike up to visit the three structures. Beside learning about the local belief, you will get a beautiful view when you reach the highest one.
Pedaling back and take the return drive to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 6: HANOI > BAC HA
After your breakfast at the hotel, set out for the mountainous Vietnam. Today destination is Bac Ha town, Lao Cai province. The morning drive is on the HW Noi Bai – Lao Cai. This is the longest highway in Vietnam. The scenic drive from the Red River Delta, through the midland to Lao Cai province will be a good start for this leg.
Arrive in Bac Ha town around noon. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Check in your hotel for a short rest and refreshment.
In the afternoon, embark on 1.5-hour trek to Ban Pho village of the Flower H’mong minority. Get picked up at the end by car. Dinner and overnight in Bac Ha.

DAY 7: BAC HA > SAPA
After your breakfast at the hotel. Your tour guide will walk you to the Weekend market. Here you will see some ethnic minority groups such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Yao, Tay, Nung…etc. They are from different valleys, gather around for the trading. It is an awesome experience of seeing colors, understanding traditions and feeling the atmosphere. The market offers a variety of local products includes colorful embroidery, handicrafts and all types of daily necessary stuffs. Here also available animal market where people sell and buy or barter animal such as dogs, pot-bellied pigs, cows, buffalos and so on.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, take about 3-hour drive to Sapa. Check in the hotel and relax. Overnight in Sapa.

DAY 8: SAPA > HANOI
This morning, get picked and transferred by to a trekking point to Y Ling Ho Village, Muong Hoa Valley. Muong Hoa is the biggest valley in Sapa region and bottomed by a rocky river. This is a less-traveled path if you start earlier than other visitors. To start, you trek downhill the valley, the scenery of the rice terraces along your way is very beautiful and could be the highlight of the day. Cross the river on a small suspension bridge and continue the trek uphill. This is rather challenging when it is wet but definitely offers you spectacular view over the valley. Finish your morning scenic trek at Lao Chai Village.
Drive back to the town for lunch.
About 2 PM, start your return journey to Hanoi. Arrive back at your Hanoi hotel, check in and stay for the night.

DAY 9: HANOI > BAC NINH
After your breakfast at the hotel, you are picked up again and heading Northeast to the neighboring Bac Ninh province. After 30km drive, you will arrive at Phat Tich pagoda for our first visit of the day. Phat Tich is one of the oldest pagodas in Northern Vietnam. It's said that the pagoda was originally built in the 7th century.
Due to the ups and downs of the country, the original pagoda was destroyed and there has been many restorations so far. It still remains as a popular pilgrimage destination of the locals. After visit the main pagoda, your tour guide will walk you up 200 stone steps to the Peak of Phat Tich Mountain to see a giant stone statue of Buddha. The statue is 27m tall and weighs 3,000 tons, making it one of the largest stone statues in Southeast Asia. From here you also can get a panorama over the countryside of the Red River Delta with villages and rice field.
Thence we continue on another 30 kilometers along Duong River (A branch of the Red River) to Phu Lao Village where you will have a home-stay experience for tonight. Upon arrival, your host will welcome you with a cup of green tea. Refreshing and enjoy the local lunch with the family.
In the afternoon, get back on your vehicle and make your way to Phu Lang Glazed Terra-cotta village. The visit to this village will absolutely amazed you while walking to visit some family-owned workshops. Learning the local techniques of producing different types of ceramics. The main categories that Phu Lang potteries focus on includes: Pottery in credence, Domestic pottery (used in family) and Pottery in decorating.
Get back to the home-stay, relax and enjoy the dinner and stay for the night. Overnight at a home-stay

DAY 10: BAC NINH > CAT BA ISLAND > HALONG
This morning, you may be woken up by the village roosters. Enjoy the home-made breakfast and bid farewell to the host family for the morning drive to Hai Phong City. Arrival at Ben Binh port, get aboard a public speed boat to Cat Ba Island. The ride is 1 hour approximately. Take a short rest at a café in Cat Ba town while waiting to embark on your private boat which starts around 12:00 PM.
Once you are aboard, enjoy the welcome drink before checking into your lovely cabins. The cruise starts with a smooth move through a floating fishing-village. Lunch is served while you are gently winding through the beautiful landscape of Lan Ha.
After lunch, you will arrive at Vung Kiem Lam area where you will get off the boat for padding your kayaks through tunnel-like caves and discover the hidden lakes and swimming off your kayak. In this area, if you are lucky enough, you may witness some monkeys or other type, called Cat Ba langur (primate species). Get back on your boat and carry on the cruise to Cha Bau area. This is a remote corner of the World Heritage. Get the anchor dropped as you are spending the night here. Take more swim off the boat or just relax on the open deck while waiting for your fresh dinner. Overnight on board.

DAY 11: HALONG > LAN HA BAY
Wake up early for the sunrise and fresh air from the top deck if you wish otherwise you are able to remain on bed until breakfast time (around 8:00AM). After breakfast, continue on your cruising discovery of Halong Bay (From Rang Dua area to Ngon Tay Islet.) Turning backward to Lan Ha Bay for the rest of the morning. The boat will stop by Ba Trai Dao beaches for you to take a swim before lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to Viet Hai dock where you will embark on a scenic cycling ride into a part of the national park, visit Viet Hai village, the only community allowed to remain in the park’s protected area. View the daily of the villagers and get some local interactions with the assistance of your guide if there is a chance. Ride back to the boat and head to the night place in Lan Ha Bay. More swimming time available if you wish. Dinner and overnight on boat.

DAY 12: LAN HA BAY > CAT BA ISLAND > HANOI
This morning, after the breakfast. The junk will meandering in between the sheer cliffs toward Monkey Island whose beach is sandy and ideal for the last swim. Here, the guide will hike you up to a viewpoint on a mountain. From there, you can get a beautiful bird-view from the high. Get back on boat and get ready for the brunch. Check out of your cabin (10:00 AM) on the way back to Beo Wharf. 11:30:
Disembarkation at Ben Beo Wharf. The afternoon hydrofoil ride takes you back to the main land for the return road trip to Hanoi. Check back into your Hanoi hotel on arrival. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 13: HANOI > LUANG PRABANG
Today, take it easy until transferring to the airport for the 11.40 flight to Luang Prabang the spiritual capital of Laos. Visit the temples Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai, and see the former Royal Palace which is now the National Museum with its halls containing rare religious and cultural artifacts. Then walk up the 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi, for panoramic views of the city as the sun sets. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 14: LUANG PRABANG > PAK OU CAVES
If you wish, get an early start (6:00am or so) and go watch or participate in the traditional Lao rite of Almsgiving to the monks. In the city, some 300+ monks file through silently collecting alms. This is an amazing sight and your guide will be on hand to demonstrate and explain this important ritual. Afterwards, visit the Morning Market and see an array of meats, vegetables and spices the locals use in their cooking.
Return to your hotel for breakfast before cruise to Pak Ou Buddha Caves. Board a long-tail boat to begin the cruise along the amazing Mekong which takes you past idyllic scenes of rural riverside life and spectacular scenery until reaching the beautiful Pak Ou Caves which sit amongst the limestone cliffs where the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers meet. The caves are spilt in two, one named Tham Ting and the other Tham Theung. They are both filled with thousands of Buddha images and statues which have been deposited here over centuries. On the way, stop to visit Ban Xang Khong, where the weaving of Lao textiles still takes place on ancient wooden looms. Enjoy lunch before your return cruise back to the town.
Get to your hotel for a rest before getting out again to enjoy a one hour walking tour of Luang Prabang’s atmospheric night market. Here you’ll find perhaps the most extensive collection of traditional and ethnic handicrafts for sale in Laos, the stalls overflowing with colorful textiles, sumptuous quilts, carvings, basketry, ceramics, clothing, handmade paper goods and even Beer Lao T-shirts. This beguiling market is open daily from dusk until about 10pm. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

DAY 15: KUANG SI WATERFALL
Drive south to Kuang Si waterfall, one of Luang Prabang’s most picturesque sights. On arrival, take a hike through the national park towards the Kuang Si waterfall. Continue to the top of the main waterfall and enjoy a swim in a large pool. Have lunch in the tranquil surroundings of the park and transfer back to your hotel by private vehicle to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 16: DEPARTURE FROM LUANG PRABANG
Spend the morning at leisure. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of service.
